Brian Evans

Brian Evans graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2020 with a B.S. in Biology. During undergrad, he worked in the lab of Dr. William Cafferty studying axonal regeneration in the context of stroke and spinal cord injury. Prior to his graduate studies, Brian was an Associate Scientist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals for over 3 years. He worked under Dr. Marine Prissette, the Director of Screening and Discovery, studying animal and stem-cell based models of FTD and Tauopathy.

In the Gan lab, Brian is excited to continue studying molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration. He is particularly interested in leveraging multi-omics as well as 3D imaging and tissue-clearing to study whole brain changes that occur in neurodegeneration. Outside the lab, Brian loves to bake, go on hikes, and explore the city.

Hobbies: Baking, Hiking, Exploring the City

Research Interests: Whole brain imaging to dissect cerebrovascular dysregulation and ApoE contribution in neurodegeneration.
