Man Ying Wong, MS

Man Ying Wong received her BS in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University and her MS in Pharmacology from New York Medical College. She was a Gates Millennium Scholar and received a scholarship from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. 

She volunteered in Dr. Caroline Kisker’s lab to study the role of UvrA and UvrB in DNA damage and repair and at Dr. Andrew Powers’ lab to study the biological significance of granular kallikrein processing. She also spent a summer with the National Space Biomedical Research Institute at NASA Johnson Space Center to study the change in pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of antibiotics during spaceflight in Dr. Lakshmi Putcha’s lab. 

After graduation, Man Ying worked in the Translational Research Program at Weill Cornell Medicine Pathology Department specializing in immunohistochemistry. Outside of the lab, Man Ying loves traveling. Talk to her if you need insights for your next vacation!
