Weixi Feng, PhD
Weixi Feng was born in Jiangsu, China. He graduated from Nanjing medical university in 2016 with a Bachelor of Medicine and received his Ph.D. degree in basic medicine in 2020, still at Nanjing.
During his Ph.D., he worked with Dr. Ming Xiao studying how the meningeal lymphatic system and glymphatic system regulate the pathology of Alzheimer's disease. He then joined the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences and worked as a postdoc in the lab of Dr. Jiu-Lin Du to study the function of glial cells and their regulation in brain vascular development.
In the Gan lab, he is enthusiastic about extending his research trajectory to explore the role of immune system, especially the adaptive immune system in aging and Alzheimer’s disease. Outside the lab, he enjoys hiking and traveling. He loves to explore the city and record his life here!
